Meet Shelby Doshi
Feline Behaviour Consultant: 15+ years with cats
Hi, I’m Shelby, also known as The Cat Whisperer Singapore®. I’m a cat behaviourist in Singapore with over 15 years of experience working with cats.
It all began in 2007, when I rescued my first cat, Lucky.
In 2010, I left my banking career to launch Lucky’s Pet Haven, an online pet store and grooming service. Around the same time, I became a community cat caregiver, rescuer, rehomer and animal welfare advocate.
By 2013, my work had grown into cat sitting, rescue and rehoming, after I boarded my beloved community cat Tigerella (RIP 2017), in a cattery to save her from being culled.
That experience shaped my mission: to care for every cat as if they were my own.
Over the years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience in cat behaviour, handling, medication and grooming.
In 2021, I saw a growing need among my clients and formally expanded into feline behaviour consultancy.
Today I offer personalized assessments and science-based behaviour modification plans rooted in psychology, observation and compassion.
Education and advocacy have always mattered to me.
I served on the Board of the Cat Welfare Society (2017–2022) and Purely Meow (2023–2025), have been a Grassroots Volunteer since 2012, and am an ACLP-certified trainer.
In 2024, I published my first e-book, Feline Fundamentals: A First-Time Owner’s Guide to Cat Care, to help new cat owners start out with knowledge and empathy.
